FAQ & General Info

What day of the month does my license expire?  Licenses always expire on the last day of the month.

"When can I submit my license renewal application to the Nevada Real Estate Division?"  Within 30 days of the date of expiration.

"Can I mail my renewal in?"  Yes. It must be postmarked by midnite on the last day of the month. Send it certified mail with a return. Give a copy of your receipt of mailing, a copy of your application, and copies of your CE certificates to your broker. Have your broker file it away.  If they're audited before your new license arrives, they'll be able to show you applied for renewal on time.

"Can I take the same CE class twice in my current renewal period for CE credits?"  No! You can not take the same CE class during your current OR your next renewal period.  Also, the same class usually means the same CE number.  However, there are classes with the same name, but different CE numbers.  See:  NAC 645.463 Restrictions on receipt of credit for course.

"What is Postlicensing Education vs. Continuing Education?" Licensees who obtained their initial license on or after 01/01/06 must completed 30 hours of prescribed postlicensing education (there are exceptions).  Subsequent renewals must complete 24 hours of continuing education which includes at least one course in each of the mandatory topic areas (A, C, E, LL).  Brokers and Broker Salespeople must also take one course in Broker Management (BM).  Property managers
add (PM).

"Do you currently offer Postlicensing Education classes?"  No.  However, I can refer you to some one who does.
